I had a question regarding a call with Navient yesterday. My wife spoke with someone last month because she just started a new job with less pay. They put her loans on forbearance until October. We received an email yesterday saying an automatic debit was coming out this week. She called yesterday and was told basically “we can’t stop the payment once it starts” even though they made the mistake. Then, she turned in paperwork last month for an IBR plan and was told on the phone “since you’re going through this, I see the paperwork here on my desk. I will make sure it goes through today.” So they were just sitting on it basically.

I contacted them as soon as I received the bill and asked why I was being billed before May 2013. I was informed the same day I was granted deferment Read More
I have spoke with Sallie Mae and let them know that since my move to Hawaii was for work that I would pay my payments as soon as I could. I am 40 days past due and they continue to call me at 3am, even though I have told them that they have my new Hawaii address and they are calling me illegally at the wrong hours. Read More
Sallie Mae bought my student loans from Great Lakes. When they purchased my loan, they did not honor the repayment terms I had agreed upon with Great Lakes and extended my terms an additional 5 years. (Which would cause me to overpay 5 years worth of payments an interest). Instead of showing my account as a transferred account, Read More
